Eye Injuries

7-in-1,000 workers sustain eye injuries each year

Eye injuries cost around $60m in Australia each year

Over two-thirds of eye injuries are sustained by men

WHAT CAUSES

EYE INJURIES

Most eye injuries are caused by a foreign body lodged in the eye, and you may be surprised to know – they’re most commonly sustained from falls, conflicts or during transportation. While they’re usually minor, if you or someone you know has experienced a serious eye injury, call 000 right away.

HOW TO TREAT

EYE INJURIES

Often, treating an eye injury simply involves flushing out the eye with an appropriate fluid – like AeroWash Solutions – to cleanse the eye of any contaminants. Washing the eye can also be important before applying other medication.
